RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work in IC/Med/Surg/Tele unit using Epic electronic health record system
• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting
• Report to and be accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director
• One year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing required
• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing preferred
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Perform patient assessments including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects
• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions and evaluation of patient care
• Collaborate with patients and families to develop and update care plans
• Assess discharge needs and promote continuity of care
• Participate in professional development and education programs
