Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on a 3/12-hour schedule
• Every other weekend required
• 154-week assignment duration
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Procedure experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS and CT
• Must be registered with ARRT and have advanced registry in Computed Tomography or be registry-eligible
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• Must maintain required continuing medical education hours
• Perform computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients
• May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations
• Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for examinations
• Review clinical data and obtain additional patient medical history as necessary
• Analyze anatomical structure, set up equipment, and perform CT scans
• Administer intravenous contrast media using power injectors
• Monitor patients for possible reactions and provide immediate care if needed
• Assist radiologist in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies
• Demonstrate principles of radiation protection and ALARA techniques
• Complete all PACS and RIS documentation and ensure high-quality image delivery
• May be exposed to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and potentially contagious patients
• Occasionally lift and move equipment and/or patients exceeding 10 lbs
