Opportunity:

CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• 2+ years of CT Tech experience required
• Trauma experience required
• Experience with all patient populations required
• Previous travel experience highly preferred
• Every other weekend schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• Perform accurate image identification and documentation in patient records including proper consents, orders, and screening forms
• Determine portion of body to be imaged and properly position patients for optimal imaging
• Follow proper policy and protocol for procedures as outlined in protocol guides and hospital policy
• Maintain work area in neat and clean condition
• Perform routine equipment cleaning and operations checks
• Set, adjust, manipulate, and control department specific CT equipment
• Position patients and various body parts for radiologic exams using proper collimation and patient shielding
• Process images to PACS system and produce technically excellent images
• Utilize ALARA principles to reduce radiation exposure to staff and patients
• Use Hospital Information System (HIS) to obtain patient information, verify orders, complete charges, and process studies
• Utilize proper safety techniques to scan patients and provide excellent quality imaging
• Required certifications: ARRT, BLS (AHA)
• Illinois Radiologic Technologist License required
• Skills checklist current to 1 year required
• Facility will not consider local candidates within 50-mile radius
