Opportunity:

CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Per diem position with no guaranteed hours
• Required to work 1 weekend per month
• 2+ years of CT experience required
• Phillips equipment experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Set up, monitor and operate complex computerized tomography equipment for diagnostic purposes
• Transfer and position patients utilizing accepted safety standards and proper lifting techniques
• Apply immobilization devices as necessary
• Obtain vital patient information including allergies and medical history
• Prepare and inject contrast media intravenously when needed per radiologist protocol
• Create and develop images for permanent patient files
• Record all studies on magnetic tape for future reference
• Organize daily patient schedule in cooperation with work-room technician
• Maintain image quality and perform daily calibration and quality control of equipment
• Handle electronic/digital image capture, storage, transfer, and copy
• Monitor patients for allergic reactions and provide basic CPR when needed
• Maintain cleanliness of working environment and department inventory levels
• Assist radiologists and physician specialists in specialized procedures
• Review and record patient history and clinical data to aid in diagnosis
• Maintain registry in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Participate in quality assessments and continuous improvement opportunities
