Opportunity:

RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Provide nursing care for patients before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures
• Perform pre-procedure assessments, pre-medication, documentation, and post-procedure care
• Scrub in for procedures and assist cardiac catheterization laboratory team members
• Assist with stress echocardiograms, treadmill exams, nuclear and pharmacologic stress testing
• Support tilt table procedures, echocardiograms, cardioversions, and transesophageal echocardiograms
• Operate cardiac equipment including hemodynamic monitors, pacemakers/ICDs, and intraaortic balloon pumps
• Manage crash carts, IV pumps, defibrillators, and point of care testing equipment
• Apply Holter monitors, event monitors, and ambulatory blood pressure monitors
• Perform pacemaker interrogations and insert PICC lines as vascular access expert
• Provide sedation monitoring according to hospital policy with appropriate documentation
• 10 days of call per month including IR/Vascular and STEMI coverage
• Weekend call responsibilities only
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA)
• Michigan nursing license required with LARA/Nursys verification
• Cath Lab RN experience required
• Skills checklist current within one year required
• Two supervisory reference forms from last two years required
• Facility will not consider local candidates within 50-mile radius
