Opportunity:

RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Provide nursing care for patients before, during, and after angiography, interventional, and angiographic cardiac catheterization procedures
• Work every weekend (Friday-Sunday)
• On-call not required but available for pick-up
• Perform pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation of cath process, post-cath care, and patient education
• Scrub in for procedures and assist other members of the cardiac catheterization laboratory
• Conduct cardiac diagnostic nursing procedures according to department protocol
• Assist in stress echocardiogram, routine treadmill exam, nuclear and pharmacologic stress testing, tilt table, echocardiograms, cardioversions, and transesophageal echocardiograms
• Operate equipment including cardiac output, hemodynamic, pacemakers/ICDs, intraaortic balloon pump, crash cart, IV pumps, defibrillators, and stress machines
• Insert PICC lines and function as a vascular access expert
• Apply Holter monitors, Event monitors, Ambulatory blood pressure monitors, and perform pacemaker interrogations
• Provide sedation monitoring in accordance with hospital policy
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Michigan nursing license required
• Cath Lab RN experience required
• Interventional Radiology experience, Electrophysiology experience, and Epic EMR experience preferred
• Must live outside 50-mile radius of facility
• All scheduling requests must be made at time of submission
