Opportunity:

RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing angiography, interventional procedures, and cardiac catheterization
• Perform pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation, and post-procedure care
• Scrub in for procedures and assist cardiac catheterization laboratory team members
• Conduct cardiac diagnostic nursing procedures including stress echocardiograms, treadmill exams, nuclear and pharmacologic stress testing
• Assist with tilt table procedures, echocardiograms, cardioversions, and transesophageal echocardiograms
• Provide sedation monitoring in accordance with hospital policy and maintain appropriate documentation
• Perform Holter monitor application, event monitor application, ambulatory blood pressure monitor application, and pacemaker interrogations
• Insert PICC lines and function as vascular access expert
• Operate specialized equipment including cardiac output monitors, hemodynamic equipment, pacemakers/ICDs, intraaortic balloon pumps, crash carts, IV pumps, and defibrillators
• Work every weekend schedule (Friday-Sunday)
• On-call not required but available for pick-up shifts
• Cath Lab RN experience required
• Interventional Radiology experience preferred
• 1+ years Electrophysiology experience preferred
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation knowledge preferred
• Travel work experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
• Active Michigan nursing license required
• Skills checklist current within one year required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within last two years required
