Opportunity:

CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Coordinate and participate in all computerized tomography scanning procedures
• Set up, monitor, and operate complex computerized equipment for diagnostic purposes
• Transfer and position patients utilizing accepted safety standards and proper lifting techniques
• Apply immobilization devices as necessary and provide required patient identification
• Obtain vital information from patients concerning known allergies and pertinent medical history
• Prepare and inject contrast media intravenously into appropriate patients as needed
• Make and develop images for permanent patient files and record studies on magnetic tape
• Organize daily patient schedule in cooperation with work-room technician
• Maintain image quality following department guidelines and perform daily calibration and quality control
• Handle electronic/digital image capture, storage, transfer, and copy
• Monitor patients for allergic reactions and assist with emergency medical situations including basic CPR
• Maintain cleanliness of working environment and ensure supplies are maintained within department inventory levels
• Assist Radiologists and other physician specialists in performance of specialized radiological procedures
• Review and record pertinent patient history and supportive clinical data to aid in diagnosis
• Work every other weekend with possible on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of CT experience required
• Phillips equipment experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT
• Must maintain Registry in accordance with regulatory agency requirements
