Description
Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Normal business operations require 16 hours per week
• Overtime billable after 40 hours per week for 36-40 hour positions, after 48 hours for 48 hour positions
• Required to float across Med Surg units throughout the hospital
• Care for medical surgical patients including all surgical cases except orthopedic and spine
• Patient ratios of 1:4/5 during day shifts and 1:5/6 during night shifts
• Work on a 46-bed unit
• Required to wear black or blue scrubs
• Must have experience with drips including amiodarone, diltiazem, heparin, dobutamine, and milrinone
• Must have equipment experience with chest tubes, JP drains, 3-way foley catheters, and NG tubes
• Minimum 24 months of medical surgical experience required
• EPIC electronic medical systems experience required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• Orientation occurs weekly every Monday
• First-time travelers welcome

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
