Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 24-bed medical surgical unit with patient ratios of 1:5 during days/evenings and 1:6 during nights
• Float between Medical Surgical and Stepdown units
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Dress code requires navy or black tops and bottoms in solid colors
• Use EPIC electronic medical record system
• Minimum 12 months medical surgical care experience required
• First-time travelers welcomed with minimum 18 months hospital/medical center nursing experience
• Experience administering heparin, cardizem, and amiodarone required
• Proficiency in caring for neurology and oncology patients required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIH Stroke Scale certificate highly preferred
• Iowa RN license required with Nursys verification
• Skills checklist specific to medical surgical/oncology/neurology required
• Professional reference from charge nurse/supervisor/manager within 24 months preferred
