Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Coordinate and participate in all computerized tomography scanning procedures
• Set up, monitor and operate complex computerized equipment for diagnostic purposes
• Work every other weekend schedule
• On-call responsibilities possible
• 2+ years of CT experience required
• Phillips equipment experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT
• Transfer and position patients using accepted safety standards and proper lifting techniques
• Apply immobilization devices as necessary
• Obtain vital patient information including known allergies and medical history
• Prepare and inject contrast media intravenously as needed per radiologist protocol
• Create and develop images for permanent patient files
• Record all studies on magnetic tape for future reference
• Organize daily patient schedules in cooperation with work-room technician
• Maintain image quality following department guidelines
• Perform daily calibration and quality control of equipment
• Handle electronic/digital image capture, storage, transfer, and copying
• Monitor patients for allergic reactions and provide appropriate medical assistance including basic CPR
• Provide radiation protection to self and patients according to safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness of working environment and department supply inventory
• Assist with training new personnel as needed
• Support radiologists and physician specialists in specialized procedures
