CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• This is a CT/X-Ray Tech position with primary focus on CT but X-Ray experience also required
• Perform wide variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and critical thinking
• Apply appropriate skills to facilitate diagnosis with initiative
• May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, Operations Manager, or Facility Director
• Provide proper patient care in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures
• May be responsible for supervision or instruction of department personnel
• Maintain excellent communication skills in written, verbal and Tiger Text format
• Practice infection control in clinical practice complying with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
• Demonstrate proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT, and PACS applications
• Perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks including IV insertion and injections
• Complete annual mandatory education including blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation
• Maintain department competencies as required
• On call possible with TBD weekend schedule and holidays required if needed
• Non-billable orientation: 8 hours
• Must have own vehicle for transportation
• Minimum 2 years current CT experience required
• Required certifications: ARRT (CT) Certification, BLS (AHA)
• Massachusetts Radiology license required
• Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
• Must function independently and proficiently in high stress, work intensive environment
• No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted and must be noted at upload
• All scheduling requests must be made at time of submission
