RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care before, during and after surgery
• Work primarily in circulating position with scrub experience as additional skill
• Float experience required to vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotic, urology, and ENT procedures
• Care for pediatric to adult patient population in 14 operating rooms plus coverage for Labor & Delivery C-sections
• Handle approximately 50 procedures per day across all surgical specialties except cardiac and ophthalmology
• No weekend requirements
• One call shift per month if needed
• 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
• 2+ years of current OR experience required
• Travel experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Must have scrub and circulate experience
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have own vehicle
• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required
• Must complete training from Welle, CPI, or PMCS for onboarding and clearance
• 14 panel drug screen required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
• Strong skills in vascular surgery and orthopedic surgery required

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive surgical services department with 14 operating rooms and provides coverage for Labor & Delivery C-sections. The facility performs approximately 50 procedures daily across all surgical specialties except cardiac and ophthalmology.
