RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process with ongoing assessment of total patient needs
• Administer medications, perform treatments, provide patient education, and respond to call lights and alarms
• Function as team leader/member and resource to other staff members
• Delegate, oversee, and provide direction to support staff
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to establish patient goals and outcomes
• Evaluate effectiveness of treatment plans and participate in updating/revising care plans
• Work every other weekend and holiday schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• Neuro PCU experience required
• Recent travel work history highly preferred
• Must maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and hospital policies
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS Certification
• Active Michigan nursing license required with LARA and/or Nursys verification
• Skills checklist current within one year and supervisory reference forms within two years required
