Opportunity:

RN - Acute Care Med Surg Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotations required
• 2 on-call shifts per 4-week period
• Must be comfortable floating to multiple units including ICU, ER, Med/Surg, and MST
• Cross-training required for multiple units (med/surg, ICU, ER)
• BSN degree and critical care experience required
• 2 years of experience floating to med/surg, ICU, and ER required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (AHA or RQI specifically)
• Basic Coronary Care certification required within 6 months of hire
• CPI certification required within 90 days of hire
• New York State registered professional nurse license required
• Emergency Nurses Association certification recommended within 2 years of hire
• TNCC certification recommended within 2 years of hire
• Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Computer literacy required with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record experience preferred
• Must provide age-appropriate care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
