Opportunity:

RN - Acute Care

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with day/night/weekend/holiday rotation schedule
• Shift times: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• One year acute hospital experience as a registered professional nurse required
• Two years emergency department experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI only)
• New York State RN licensure required
• NIHSS certification required
• Apply nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in emergency care
• Assess patient needs and identify urgent or emergent care priorities
• Perform triage using ESI standards for patients of all age groups
• Conduct primary and secondary assessments within acceptable timeframes
• Utilize invasive and non-invasive procedures for life-threatening and routine emergency situations
• Document patient assessments and reassess for treatment response or condition changes
• Provide patient and family education for diagnostic procedures and discharge instructions
• Maintain patient communication boards throughout emergency department stay
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for optimal patient outcomes
