Opportunity:

RN - OR PACU

Job Details:

• Call rotation includes 1 weekday of call per week and approximately 3 full weekends of call during contract
• Float between Geneva General Hospital and Finger Lakes Surgery Center
• Provide specialized care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical conditions
• Apply nursing knowledge and technical skills in delivering high quality compassionate care to patients and families
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with interdisciplinary team
• Provide direct patient care, evaluate patient progress, and coordinate care delivery throughout patient episodes
• Conduct patient and family education to assist in understanding self-care beyond hospitalization
• Promote comfort and provide emotional support in a healing environment
• Document education provided and patient/family response to education
• Demonstrate skill in medication administration and other nursing interventions
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (all through AHA or RQI only), NIHSS, and NYS RN Licensure
• Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated with potential contact with blood, body fluids, and tissues
