Opportunity:

RN - Acute Care

Job Details:

• Work ER day/night/weekend/holiday rotation schedule
• Schedule includes 3x12-hour shifts plus 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (must be AHA or RQI)
• Two years acute hospital experience as an RN required
• One year ED hospital experience as an RN required
• NYS RN Licensure required
• Apply nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in emergency care
• Assess patient needs and identify urgent or emergent care priorities
• Provide direct care and therapeutic interventions for life-threatening and routine emergency situations
• Conduct triage assessments and assign priority of care using ESI standards
• Perform primary and secondary assessments for patients of all age groups
• Utilize invasive and non-invasive procedures and treatments
• Document patient assessments and response to treatments
• Provide patient and family education for discharge and continuing care
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain infection prevention compliance and safety protocols
