Opportunity:

SMH IR Rad Tech - SMH

Job Details:

• Work 5x8 hour day shifts with on call/callback/holiday coverage per unit needs
• Select exposure factors and position patients to consistently produce diagnostic quality radiologic images
• Instruct and prepare patients for examinations and assist radiologists during procedures
• Demonstrate competence and proficiency in operation of all equipment and report malfunctions to manager or lead
• Complete all assigned procedures in a timely manner and assist with room turnover between procedures
• Maintain medication security to authorized personnel only
• Provide healthcare services competently to patients of all age groups
• Demonstrate competency in Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS
• Participate in hospital performance improvement activities when warranted
• Maintain confidentiality using personal password and all patient care modules
• Answer telephone inquiries of a technical nature from physicians and hospital personnel
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Two years of experience required
• NYS License required (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• VIR Certified preferred
• Current technician license accepted in the state of NY
