Opportunity:

RN - Acute Care

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts in emergency department with day/night/weekend/holiday rotation
• Shift times: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI only)
• Minimum one year acute hospital experience as a registered professional nurse required
• Two years emergency department experience preferred
• NYS RN licensure required
• NIHSS certification required
• Conduct patient triage and assign priority of care using ESI standards
• Perform primary and secondary assessments for patients of all age groups
• Utilize invasive and non-invasive procedures and therapeutic interventions
• Manage life-threatening and routine emergency situations
• Provide patient and family education for discharge planning
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain infection prevention compliance
• Assess physiological, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs of patients and families
