Opportunity:

SMH IR Neuro Rad Tech - SMH : L1RAD : IR Neuro Rad Tech

Job Details:

• Work 4x10 hour shifts on day schedule
• Weekend and holiday coverage required as per unit needs
• On-call and callback responsibilities based on unit requirements
• Call schedule includes 1-2 times per week and 1-2 weekends per month
• Must have neurosurgery/neuroscience experience
• Two years of experience required
• New York state licensing required
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required
• AART certification required
• VIR experience preferred
• Interventional radiology experience preferred
• Select appropriate exposure factors and positioning techniques
• Produce diagnostic quality radiologic images consistently
• Administer oral contrast as needed for examinations
• Instruct and prepare patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic procedures
• Assist radiologists during interventional procedures
• Operate x-ray equipment, CR and DR systems proficiently
• Complete procedures in timely manner and assist with departmental tasks
• Maintain medication security protocols
• Provide healthcare services to patients of all age groups
• Use Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS
• Maintain patient confidentiality and answer technical inquiries from physicians
