Opportunity:

RN - SBH : RNLVL4 : OR

Job Details:

• Work 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM shifts with 35 guaranteed hours per week after breaks
• Required to work weekends and holidays as needed with weekend shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• Must be able to both scrub and circulate in operating room procedures
• Scrubs will be provided by facility
• EMR system: EPIC
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience preferred
• Provide 1:1 patient care before, during, and after surgery for various specialties including General surgery, Orthopedics, Vascular, ENT, Ophthalmology, Urology, Endoscopy, and GYN
• Care for patients from neonate through geriatric populations
• Perform pre-operative and post-operative patient care addressing psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of surgical care
• Execute proper sterile technique including opening sterile items, pouring sterile solutions, and maintaining sterile field
• Conduct and document all surgical counts per standards and procedures
• Handle, document, and label surgical specimens and cultures appropriately
• Operate mechanical, electrical, and powered equipment safely according to manufacturer instructions
• Communicate continuously with surgeons and anesthesiologists regarding patient condition
• Maintain surgical standards, universal precautions, and departmental procedures
