Opportunity:

MRI Tech - MRI Tech

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM EST
• On-call, callback, and holiday coverage per unit needs
• Specialize in pediatric MRI imaging for patients from neonates through age 18
• Provide age-appropriate care and make patients feel comfortable during procedures
• Operate MRI machines efficiently and adjust scanning parameters for various patient ages
• Maintain clean and safe scanning facility environment
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort
• Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality
• Screen and prepare patients for scanning, identifying contraindications for safe scanning
• Independently determine when scans must be stopped due to motion requiring sedation/anesthesia
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Adhere to all MRI safety policies and guidelines
• Two years of MRI technologist experience required
• Siemens scanner experience required
• Six months of pediatric experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required
• ARRT certification required
• NYS Rad Tech License required (willing to consider candidates who obtain prior to start)
• Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology required
• Must be able to stand for extended periods
• Knowledge of medical terminology required
