Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Opportunity:

SMH General X - SMH : L1RAD : X-Ray Tech

Job Details:

• Work Sunday through Thursday from 3:30 PM to midnight
• 5x8 hour evening shifts per week
• On-call and callback responsibilities as needed, including holidays
• Must be able to report within 30 minutes for on-call shifts
• 2-3 call shifts per month required
• Verify patients' identity and review physicians' orders before beginning procedures
• Use x-ray equipment to take radiographic images of bones, tissues, and organs
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions
• Position patients appropriately, including lifting and moving patients with limited mobility
• Handle radiologic equipment safely while keeping patient dose as low as possible
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper image identification
• 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience required
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Recent OR experience at a trauma 1 center required
• Experience using c-arm/o-arm within the past 8 months required
• Must maintain ARRT certification and NYS license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only) required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required
