Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available

Job Details:

• Work 5 x 8-hour day shifts with on-call, callback, and holiday coverage as needed per unit requirements
• 5-7 call shifts per 7-week time block (2-4 of these will be weekend call shifts)
• 6-month contract assignments will be considered
• Select appropriate exposure factors and positioning to produce diagnostic quality radiologic images
• Instruct and prepare patients for examinations and assist radiologist during procedures
• Demonstrate competence in operating all equipment and report malfunctions to management
• Complete assigned procedures in timely manner and assist with room turnover between cases
• Maintain medication security protocols for authorized personnel only
• Provide healthcare services competently to patients of all age groups
• Use Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS proficiently
• Answer technical telephone inquiries from physicians and hospital personnel
• Maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate proper phone etiquette
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only), NYS License, VIR Certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Must demonstrate flexibility, team spirit, compassion, respect, and accountability with patients and staff
