RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Acute Care Med Surg

Job Details:

• Full-time position requiring 36 hours per week plus 2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks
• Rotational schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Provide high-quality compassionate care to patients and families in medical/surgical setting
• Care for adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical conditions
• Assess patient needs, develop care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary team
• Provide direct patient care and evaluate patient progress throughout episode
• Conduct patient and family education for self-care beyond hospitalization
• Apply nursing knowledge and skills in medication administration and clinical interventions
• Promote patient safety through compliance with infection prevention strategies
• Document education provided and patient/family response to teaching
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA or RQI only), NIHSS
• New York State RN licensure required
• Minimum 1 year experience in Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse required
• Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens reasonably anticipated
