RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in a 25-bed Observation Unit on the 1st floor
• Patient ratios: 4:1 during days / 5:1 during nights
• Full-time: 36 hours per week with every 3rd weekend
• Part-time: 24 hours per week with every 3rd weekend
• PRN: 3 shifts per month with one weekend day required
• Contract/Travelers: 36 hours per week with every other weekend
• Floating policy on rotating system to meet hospital needs
• Required to triage acute care patients and identify life-threatening rhythms
• Equipment includes Alaris Pumps, tele-tracking, Imobile Communication, B450 Monitors, and Pyxis
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Unit staffing includes 1 CNC, 6-7 RNs, 2 techs, and 1 unit secretary
• Procedures performed include glucose monitoring, Foley insertion, dressing changes, EKGs, and peritoneal dialysis
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Preferred experience: Neuro and cardiac experience
• Dress code: Black scrubs for RNs with closed-toed shoes (no crocs allowed)
