Description
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
Opportunity:
RN - CVICU
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract assignment
• No call requirements
• Weekend requirements: 6 weekend shifts per schedule for night shift (Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Patient ratios of 2:1 and 1:1 depending on acuity
• Must have experience with cardiac monitoring and rhythms
• Must have experience with titratable drips and understanding of hemodynamics
• Must have experience with respiratory patients including vents, BiPAP, trachs, and airways
• Must have experience with open heart surgery recovery
• Must have experience with ECMO, Impella, and balloon pumps
• Must have experience with CRRT/SLED procedures
• CVICU charge experience preferred
• Work with advanced equipment including GE bedside monitors, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, Centrimag ECMO Circuits, Impella CP & 5.5, Prismax CRRT machines, Tablo SLED machines, and Maquet Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Participate in procedures such as central line and chest tube insertion, bronchoscopies, tracheostomies, and intubations
• Navy scrubs required
• Must be a team player with positive attitude and adaptability
Facility:
This medical center features an 8-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit located on the 4th floor, providing specialized critical care for cardiac and ECMO patients. The unit maintains a team of 25 staff members with experienced day and night shift teams including charge nurses and bedside RNs. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art cardiac monitoring technology and specialized equipment for complex cardiovascular procedures and life support systems.

Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
