Opportunity:
RN - Med Surg
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Day/night rotation will not occur more than weekly
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6
• 30-bed medical-surgical unit serving total joint replacement, spinal surgery, urology procedures, abdominal surgery, bariatrics, and medical overflow patients
• Experience with post-operative care, early ambulation, and surgical patients preferred
• Handle hemovacs, JP drains, colostomies, PCA pumps, TPN, and occasional heparin drips
• Float to medical and telemetry units as needed
• Bedside shift reporting required
• Required certification: BLS
• EPIC charting system
• Any color scrubs acceptable
• BSN not required
• First-time travelers welcome
• Manager creates schedule with consideration for block scheduling if unit needs are met
• Profile review and manager interview required

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
