RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in 101-bed emergency department with patient ratios of 4:1 typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Schedule requires every other weekend, scheduling must meet department needs with no block scheduling commitment
• Must be flexible to float to all sections within the ED (no floating outside of ED)
• Work with high-volume emergency department serving over 100,000 visits annually
• Utilize equipment including Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system
• Required certifications before starting: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS (all before start date), ENPC within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in emergency room setting required
• Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center experience preferred
• Previous HCA experience preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Dress code requires navy scrubs
• Follow AIDET principles, maintain respectful behavior, ensure positive patient experience, and keep patient boards updated throughout visits
• Support available from techs in cardiac monitoring, internal processing, triage areas, and unit clerks on days and nights
