RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment starting ASAP
• Monday through Friday assignment
• Alaska RN license required for submission
• Patient ratios of 2:1 and 1:1
• Must have experience with EPIC electronic medical records
• Must independently manage intubated patients and titrate pressors
• Preferred to have 1 year experience recovering open heart surgeries less than 12 hours post-op
• Required certifications: RN License, BLS, ACLS
• Work with Alaris IV pumps and other ICU equipment
• Participate in typical ICU procedures including intubation, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, and central line insertion
• Navy blue scrub color required
• May float to other departments if unit is overstaffed per union contract including MOU, CVSU, Ortho, Rehab, or SPCU
• Work alongside 8 RNs per shift in a 14-bed ICU unit

The facility utilizes EPIC electronic medical records and maintains modern ICU equipment including Alaris IV pumps. The ICU provides advanced critical care including post-operative cardiac surgery recovery and complex medical management. The facility operates with a structured team approach and maintains union contracts that govern staffing policies.
