RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on 6E Ortho/Neuro/Peds unit with 30-36 bed capacity
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6
• Day shift staffing includes 1 clinical coordinator, 5 RNs, 2 techs, and 1 unit secretary
• Night shift staffing includes 5 RNs and 2 techs
• Care for post-operative orthopedic and spine surgical patients
• Provide post-operative care and manage podiatry patients
• Work with Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCD equipment
• Use Meditech electronic medical record system
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred for pediatric patient care
• Experience with post-operative orthopedic care preferred
• Strong communication skills essential
• Must be a team player with positive attitude and strong patient advocacy skills
• Dress code requires navy blue or white scrubs
• No hoodies, pull-overs, or t-shirts permitted
