RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 52-bed emergency department with average patient ratio of 3:1, low acuity up to 5:1
• Pediatrics handled through team nursing approach
• Work with Alaris equipment and Meditech EMR system
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, NIH
• Kansas nursing license required
• Experience in travel nursing or large facility experience required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Experience in 52-bed ER or larger facility preferred
• Perform typical ER procedures including IV starts, medication administration, sedations, and pediatric care
• Must maintain patient scanning protocols for all patients and medications
• Fast-paced environment requiring ability to work independently
• Team includes charge nurse, 4 nurses, 1 tech, 1 unit clerk, 1 physician, and 1 midlevel provider per pod
• Must be adaptable, quick learner, and able to handle diverse patient population
