RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Neuro/Trauma

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Seasonal travel position
• 4:1 patient ratio goal, currently running 5:1 due to staffing needs
• Work on 38-bed Neurotrauma unit located on 7th floor
• Required certifications: NIH certification, BLS, heavy med-surg background
• Preferred certifications: ACLS and neuro experience
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, seizure monitoring, Bi-pap, C-pap, and glucometers
• Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
• Perform NIH/stroke assessments, neuro assessments, fall risk assessments
• Provide trach care and feeding tube management
• Must be highly motivated team player with great critical thinking skills
• Ability to multi-task, take initiative, and work flexibly with neuro patient population
• Engage with patient experience tactics and maintain positive, energetic attitude
