RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Seasonal travel assignment working 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Work on 7th floor (south and tower) in the main hospital building
• 38-bed unit with 4-5:1 patient ratio (currently running some 5:1 due to staffing)
• Work with IV pumps, seizure monitoring equipment, Bi-pap, C-pap, and glucometers
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Perform NIH/stroke assessments, neurological assessments, fall risk assessments
• Provide trach care and feeding tube management
• Must have NIH certification, BLS, and heavy med-surg background
• ACLS and neuro experience preferred
• Must be highly motivated team player with excellent critical thinking skills
• Ability to multi-task, take initiative, and work well under pressure
• Must be passionate about neuro patient population
• Flexible, positive, and energetic attitude required
• Day shift includes 2 charges (without patients) and 2 PCTs
