RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Holidays and every other weekend required
• Block scheduling approved
• Guaranteed 72 or 96 hours bi-weekly
• Call requirements are voluntary
• Floating to other units is required
• Maximum 1 week RTO allowed
• Higher Med-Surg acuity caring for patients with diagnoses including stroke, seizures, post-op neuro/spinal surgeries, level 2 trauma patients, level 1 trauma post-ICU care, DKA, renal failure, and general post-op care
• Patient ratio: 1:5 to 1:6
• 24-bed unit capacity
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Required skills include expertise in neuro assessments, critical thinking, drain management, post-surgical care, chest tube management, and groin site management post-IR
• EMR system: Cerner
• Dress code: Navy scrubs
• Must be located greater than 50 miles from facility
