RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details:

• Day shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
• Night shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Patient ratios: 5-6 patients per nurse
• Rotate through every 3rd weekend (sometimes every other if leave of absence)
• Work with traction, external fixators, halos, walkers, gait belts, bed alarms, continuous pulse ox, remote telemetry monitoring
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Check out iPhone 7 each shift to utilize mobile heartbeat (iMobile) program for team communication
• Perform wound care and dressing changes
• Care for patients with orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions including stroke and head injuries, and traumas
• Work in fast-paced med/surg acuity unit with 36 private rooms
• Required: Acute care hospital experience on Med/Surg or Telemetry units, Kansas license, BLS certification
• Preferred: NIH certification
• Dress code: Royal blue scrubs required
