RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week requirement
• Alternating weekend schedule
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)
• Travelers float to all areas as needed
• ICU experience required
• Must have experience with titration of vesicant medications, familiarity with pressors, sedation, and paralytics
• Required skills include experience with vents, trachs, telemetry interpretation, understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Advanced desirable skills include IABP, Impella, and CRRT
• Work with equipment including vents, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia devices
• Procedures performed on unit include cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
• Use Cerner documentation system
• CCRN certification recommended but not required
• Work in 16-bed unit with RNs only (no HUC or PCT support)
• Dress code requires all navy or navy and white scrubs (no pullovers, hoodies, or green scrubs except when soiled)
