RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on 4th floor Medical Trauma Unit providing medical surgical and telemetry care
• Patient ratio of 5-6:1 in a 34-bed private room and 2 semi-private room unit
• Day shift: 1 charge, 7 RN/LPNs, 3 techs, 1 DA staffing
• Night shift: 1 charge, 6 RN/LPNs, 3 techs staffing
• Work every other weekend with no call requirements
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Work with remote telemetry, vein finder, bladder scanner, EKG machine, Doppler, Hoyer Lift, glucometer, pulse ox, scales, and wound vac equipment
• Medical surgical experience required
• BLS certification required
• RN license required
• Trauma experience preferred
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Manage complex wounds, blood product administration, pain management
• Care for patients with tubes and drains including NG, PEG, feeding tubes, surgical drains, and chest tubes
• Float to medical surgical and telemetry units if certified
• Navy scrub color required
• Must be a team player with compassionate personality
