RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work in a 36-bed medical surgical unit (5E Med Surg) on the 5th floor of main hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift staffing includes: 1 Clinical coordinator, 6 RNs, 3 techs, 1 unit secretary
• Night shift staffing includes: 1 Clinical coordinator, 6 RNs, 2 techs
• Equipment used: Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, SCDs
• Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
• BLS certification required
• Experience with post-operative patients preferred
• Must be competent with dressing changes, wound care, and drain management
• Typical procedures include: care of post-operative patients, maintaining drains, wound care
• Must be a team player with positive attitude and strong patient advocacy skills
• Able to work in fast-paced environment
• Dress code: Navy blue or white scrubs only, no hoodies, pull-overs, or t-shirts allowed
