RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on 6 West medical-surgical/oncology unit with 33 beds
• Patient ratios of 5-6 patients per nurse
• Day shift staffing includes 5 RNs, 1 clinical coordinator/charge nurse (no patient assignment), 2-3 techs, and 1 unit secretary
• Night shift staffing includes 5 RNs (including charge nurse with patient assignment) and 2-3 techs
• Utilize Baxter IV pumps and Meditech (EBCD version) electronic medical record system
• Medical surgical experience in acute care setting required
• Oncology and chemotherapy experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Navy blue or white scrubs required for dress code
• Participate in bedside shift reports and hourly rounding with tech assistance
• Attend shift huddles as part of unit communication protocols
• Work with positive, energetic team that values teamwork and collaboration
