RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
• 2 weekends (4 shifts) required per 4-week schedule
• 6:1 patient ratio on a 20-bed unit
• Med/Surg experience required with neuro med/surg focus
• Active RN license and BLS certification required
• Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) required uniform
• Work with IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Provide attentive and compassionate care with bedside shift report
• Must be able to prioritize care, multitask, start IVs, perform basic wound care, and maintain surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Contract labor is first to float based on rotation system
• Tech support available on day and night shifts
• Unit secretary available from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
