Description

RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in a 20-bed Transitional Care Unit (TCU) with 4:1 patient ratios
• Schedule includes every other weekend, holidays or hard to fill availability, and 2 Mondays/2 Fridays per schedule
• Shift starts promptly at 7:00 AM or 7:00 PM - late arrivals are not tolerated
• Mandatory attendance at shift huddle
• Bedside shift report (BSSR) required for all patients, including isolation patients with patient participation
• Float to other Step-Down units (4:1 ratio - PSTU, CSU) or Med-Surg units (6:1 ratio - ONC, CRPU, GSTU, NTU, MCU)
• Work with equipment including ZOLL, Baxter pumps, GE telemetry monitors, imobile, Hillrom beds, Centrella Specialty beds, kangaroo pumps
• Use Timpani and Inspire App for scheduling and Expanse documentation system
• Required experience: Step-Down, cardiac drips (Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin), BIPAP/CPAP/High Flow, sepsis care
• Handle post-cath patients without intervention, chest tubes, and occasional bedside cardioversion
• ACLS certification required
• Dress code: All navy blue or all white scrubs, closed-toed shoes (no Crocs), HCA/Hospital branded t-shirts permitted
• Unit support includes Unit Secretary, Nurse Externs (can start IVs), Patient Care Techs (can draw labs), and management team

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
