RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts, three shifts per week with every other weekend required
• No guarantee of block scheduling
• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients to 1 nurse on 25-bed unit
• Float to like units (med surg) as needed
• Care for post-operative orthopedic patients including hip, knee, spine and other orthopedic procedures
• Work with general nursing equipment for medical surgical patients
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Provide bedside shift report and conduct safety rounds (1 hour day, 2 hours night)
• Use AIDET communication method for all patient interactions
• Must have BLS certification and experience with post-operative patients
• Positive attitude required, Meditech experience preferred
• Navy scrubs required with closed-toe shoes
• No specific bedside or unit procedures performed
• No advanced skills required
