RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Guaranteed weekly hours: 36 or 48 hours (must be specified on submission)
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements
• Float on a rotational basis between units
• Patient ratios: Days 1:5-1:6, nights 1:6-1:7 (ratios not guaranteed)
• Work with 32-bed medical telemetry unit
• Required certifications: BLS from AHA, NIHSS (may obtain prior to start)
• Current RN license eligible for Missouri state licensure
• Minimum 1 year telemetry experience (inpatient only) required
• Must have experience and competence in drug titration
• Work with medical, medical telemetry, and respiratory patients
• Equipment includes telemetry monitors, lift equipment, IV pumps, and tube feeding pumps
• Electronic medical record system: EPIC
• Black scrubs required - no other colors acceptable
• Night shift orientation conducted on day shift with full week availability required
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1-April 1
• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments and other caregivers
• Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients
