RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work on a 27-bed medical surgical unit specializing in orthopedic surgery and bariatrics
• Maintain patient ratios of 5-6 patients to 1 nurse
• Minimum 2 years of medical surgical experience in a hospital setting required
• Preferred experience includes 2 years in medical surgery, orthopedics, or bariatrics
• Work with equipment including Hoyer lifts, CPM machines, and code carts
• Handle typical procedures including orthopedic surgeries (knees, hips, shoulders, cervical) and bariatric procedures
• Required to work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• May float to Medical Oncology unit as needed
• Work collaboratively with team members including charge RN, staff RNs, LNAs, and unit coordinator
• Day shift includes 5-6 RNs and 2-3 LNAs; night shift includes charge RN, RNs, and 2-3 LNAs
• BLS certification required
• No specific scrub color requirements
• Must demonstrate patient-focused care and collaborative teamwork skills
