RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
• Maintain patient ratio of 6:1
• Work 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
• Must have active RN license and BLS certification
• Dress code requires navy scrubs, tops and bottoms
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Provide bedside shift reports and compassionate care to patients and family members
• Must have med/surg experience with ability to prioritize care and multitask
• Required skills include starting IVs, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Contract labor staff float first when needed
• Include patients and family members in their plan of care

This comprehensive healthcare facility features a 34-bed 6th floor post-operative medical/surgical unit with tech support on day and night shifts and unit secretary coverage from 7 AM to 7 PM. The facility maintains multiple certifications including Comprehensive Stroke Center, ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center, and Certified Chest Pain Center designations. The facility emphasizes patient experience and compassionate care delivery while utilizing modern equipment and technology to support patient care needs.
