RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 101-bed Emergency Department with Level 2 trauma center designation
• Patient ratios: typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Every other weekend schedule requirement - no block scheduling available
• Must be flexible to work in all sections of the Emergency Department
• No floating outside of ED required
• Required dress code: Navy scrubs
• Work with Baxter pumps and GE monitors
• Use Cerner documentation system
• Must maintain AIDET standards and respectful patient experience protocols
• Keep patient boards updated and communicate with patients throughout their visit
• Support staff includes techs available for cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and triage
• Unit clerks available during day and night shifts
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in ER setting required
• Previous Level 2 trauma center experience in high volume ED (>100,000 visits) required
• HCA experience preferred
• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
