RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Alternating weekends required
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 (occasionally 3:1 depending on acuity)
• 16-bed unit with RNs only - no unit secretary or patient care technician support
• ICU experience required
• Travelers float to all areas
• Must have experience with titration of vesicant medications, pressors, sedation, paralytics, ventilators, tracheostomies, telemetry interpretation, hemodynamics, and PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Advanced skills desired include IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience
• Work with equipment including ventilators, telemetry, Baxter IV pumps, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia devices
• Document using Cerner system
• Participate in procedures such as cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
• Uniform requirements: all navy or navy and white scrubs (no pullovers, hoodies, or green scrubs except when uniform is soiled at work)
• CCRN, IABP, Impella, and CRRT certifications appreciated but not required
