RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours (must be indicated on submission form)
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours required every other weekend
• No call requirements
• 1 year Med Surg experience required (inpatient only)
• May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs
• Patient ratios: 1:6-7 on nights (ratios not guaranteed)
• Work with 20-bed medical surgical unit
• Care for Med/Surg patients including post trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities
• Equipment includes Nova Meters for blood glucose, Alaris IV pump, Kangaroo pumps, SCD machine
• EMR system: EPIC
• Required certifications: BLS from AHA only
• Preferred certifications: ACLS from AHA
• Current RN License (must meet criteria for Missouri licensure or currently licensed in Missouri)
• Dress code: Black scrubs, no open-toed shoes
• Flu vaccination required from November 1-April 1
• Utilize nursing process for patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments
• Must be a team player willing to provide care to diverse patient population
