RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 16-bed Neuro/Vascular Intensive Care Unit (NVICU)
• Patient ratios of 2:1, sometimes 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity and staffing needs
• Minimum weekend requirement of 4 weekend shifts per schedule
• Schedule completed in 4-week increments with self-scheduling to an extent
• Contract labor is first to float; may float to med/surg units when needed
• Work with advanced equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000
• Documentation completed using Meditech system
• Unit secretary staffed during dayshift with occasional nurse extern working as tech
• Active RN license and ICU experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Perform and assist with insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions
• Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
• Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) required dress code
